Closet Staples

Hey Everybody, I hope you have been having a great hump day 😆.  I wanted to give y'all a short list of my wardrobe staples.  These are all basic items that I think are vital to building a good, solid wardrobe.  I hope it's helpful 😍

One of the most important things that you can have in your closet are a few staples.  That is, those few pieces that you can wear at least about 5 different ways, and at least 2 or 3 different seasons.  I have 5 staples that I keep in my closet at all times, and prove to be multi functional, as well as, most importantly, inexpensive.  Now, these things may vary for everybody, and my list is actually longer, but here is my fast 5, followed by a link to where to get one of each.  Just places that I have bought them from and worked out well for me :)

1. Denim Shirt:  This is one of my absolute favs.  You can wear this pretty much all year long actually.  In the summer, you can wear it on a cool night as a jacket, in the spring and fall its a top, and in the winter, you would wear a coat, or a vest over it.  You can dress it up or down, wear it with pearls, gold, or silver.  You can wear a belt around the waist, button it, or leave it open.   You can accessorize with a scarf and hat, or your hair can always make the look completely different.   There are so many options. Here is a great one at Old Navy

2. Leggings:  This one goes without saying.  Leggings are very popular lately, and for good reason.  They are so cute, and comfortable, and you can get a nice, durable pair for under $20.  They can be worn under a dress, or with a big sweatshirt.  Leggings can be a lifesaver in a time crunch.  They look great with a pair of riding boots, or with sandals.  There are different lengths as well, so you can find some that look just like pants, giving you the comfort and style without the cost. They have awesome Pleather front Leggings at Alloy

3. Skinny Jeans/Jeggings:  I love me a good pair of skinny jeans. Jeggings are awesome because they are like the best of both worlds; jeans, and leggings.  They are skinny jeans and leggings combined, for those of us who would rather a little more stretch in our skinny.  I love them both, it just depends on the day.  I definitely feel it's important to have at least one of each, if not both in your wardrobe.  They give you a nice smooth silhouette, and accentuate all the best parts, especially for us tall gals.  They look great with sandals, boots, pumps, you name it.  This one is a win win.  You cannot go wrong with a pair of these.  Here is a great pair in multiple colors at Alloy, my favorite store for jeans and pants.

4. Maxi Dress:  The maxi dress is another favorite of mine.  It is timeless. You can be 10 different people wearing just 1 dress.  I recommend always having a black one, then you can have as many as you want after that.  Black though, can be worn all year long, from summer to winter, with a sweater or a coat over it, or alone.  You can wear it with a necklace or a choker, or nothing at all.  Hair up, or hair down, heels, or boots.  I could go one forever.  It pretty much speaks for itself.  You can pick up a very versatile one right here from Old Navy.

5. Cardigan Sweater:  Now, it was kind of hard for me to pick just one last thing for my fast five, but here we go, the cardigan.  It is my go to in a rush all the time.  I throw on a cardigan over my camis all the time.  They are fantastic for covering up problem areas.  If you are anything like me, that can be a Godsend from time to time.  They can jazz up a plain and simple little outfit, and keep you warm at the same time.  There are even the sleeveless ones that are simply for styling purposes and covering up, minus the warmth factor.  I have a closet half full of these bad boys, ones with hoods, ones with stripes, colorful, solids, you name it.  I love a good cardi.  Here is a cute one at Old Navy.

I wanted to give you Beautiful ladies a few of my staples, and where to find some for a decent price.  Like I said, these are just some that I found and liked.  You might not like the same ones I did, but you can look around and see if you can find something you like on these websites.  The nice thing about OldNavy.com and Alloy.com is they both have talls for my lengthy lovelies; Alloy actually has extra talls.    Make sure you check them both out to add a couple, if not all my fast 5 items to your closet.  Trust me, you'll thank me later.  Happy Shopping Beautiful!!💋💋

This applies to every aspect of life. The first thought to me though was my wardobe :)
